ABOUT ROZEN

ROZEN is an Indie R&B/Soul artist based in Los Angeles, CA that originally hails from the tropics of the Philippines. Growing up, ROZEN had quite the International upbringing studying abroad in Nigeria, India, Thailand, and England before graduating from Western Michigan University. This Islander beauty has developed her sound from influences like Aaliyah, Tamia, Sade, Lauryn Hill, Toni Braxton, and Etta James. ROZEN has studied under Michael "EVRYWHR" Jefferson (Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter) and has had the pleasure of working with Davion Farris (songwriter to Tyrese, Mary J Blige), and Andrew Chavez (engineer to Christina Aguilera's "Bionic" album).

After leaving her 6th girl group, ROZEN has been a solo artist since the release of her debut single, “His Interlude” in 2016 shortly followed by her first EP release, “Pages.”  Her debut 2-part EP uniquely previewed her story behind domestic violence through songs inspired by her journal.  This raw and moving 6-song medley gained the attention of non-profit, Break the Silence Against Domestic Violence, which is a survivor ran organization.  BTSADV has allowed ROZEN to travel the country as a keynote speaker sharing her stories and unforgettable live stage performances to several college campuses such as Ottawa University, Georgetown University, Widener University, and soon, Hopes Door Symposium 2020 in New York.  ROZEN has received placement on Emmy-nominated web series, “Tough Love” and has been featured on the 2019 “Beast Meets West” Spotify playlist.  ROZEN’s music is a spectrum of sounds reminiscent of 90’s/early 2000’s R&B like Ashanti, Aaliyah, and Tamia with the soothing soulful delivery of Sade with a Pop structure.

This triple-threat of an artist wrapped up 2019 on a high note with performances at the Whisky A Gogo, Peppermint Club, and House of Blues and will be recording new music for her debut album to be released in 2020.
